144 mm Full-Panel Case Printer
How it works

Built around your product

Two stacked heads cover 144 mm, so a plain case can receive all its branding and logistics data on the line. It suits operations with many SKUs and short runs.

Piezo printheads fire oil- or UV-based ink from hundreds of nozzles arranged in a vertical array, building the image as the case passes on the conveyor. Valve-jet (drop-on-demand) heads use seven or sixteen solenoid valves to place larger drops for bold alphanumeric text. A central controller manages one to four heads and takes data from ERP or WMS.

Key features

Guide

Side rails hold the case a constant distance from the printhead.

Detect

A photo-eye senses the leading edge; an encoder tracks speed.

Print

The head prints text, graphics and barcodes on the passing panel.

Absorb

Ink wicks into the board and is dry to the touch within seconds.

Scan

An optional scanner confirms barcode readability before palletizing.

Questions

Can inkjet-printed barcodes meet retailer requirements?
On good-quality corrugated, high-resolution piezo printing produces scannable ITF-14 and GS1-128 codes. Verify grade on your actual board during trials.
Direct print or print-and-apply labels?
Direct print has the lowest cost per case. Labels are preferred for glossy or shrink-wrapped packs and where a guaranteed barcode grade is needed.
What about recycled or dark board?
Darker liners reduce contrast. Trials will show whether a larger X-dimension, a UV ink or a label is the better route.
