Inline Fully Automatic Strapping Machine with Press

Hands-free strapping in conveyor lines.

Inline Fully Automatic Strapping Machine with Press
How it works

Built around your product

Powered belts move the case to position, a top press stabilises it, and one or more straps are applied before the case travels on. It interlocks with upstream and downstream conveyors.

A strapping head feeds strap around the pack through an arch or by hand, tensions it, welds the ends by heat or friction and cuts. Stretch wrappers rotate the load on a turntable — or rotate an arm around a stationary load — while a powered carriage pre-stretches the film by 200–300% and travels up and down the mast to apply the programmed number of wraps.

Process sequence

Position

The pack stops under the arch, or the pallet is placed on the turntable.

Feed

Strap or film is fed and attached.

Tension

Strap is pulled to the set force; film is pre-stretched.

Seal

Strap ends are welded; film is cut and wiped down.

Release

The secured load moves on to labelling and dispatch.

Questions

PP or PET strap?
PP is economical for light and medium cartons. PET holds tension longer and replaces steel for heavy or rigid loads.
Turntable or rotary arm?
Turntables are simple and cost-effective for stable loads. Rotary arms wrap very heavy, light or unstable loads because the pallet does not turn.
How much film does pre-stretch save?
Powered pre-stretch at 250% turns one metre of film into three and a half, often halving film use compared with manual wrapping.
