Top Labelling Machine

Flat-surface labelling for cartons, pouches, lids and trays.

Top Labelling Machine
How it works

Built around your product

The LB-T120 applies a label to the top face of flat products as they pass on a belt conveyor. It is a simple way to add promotional, ingredient or tamper labels.

A servo or stepper drive pulls the label web past a peel plate so each label releases as the product arrives. Spacing belts, a wrap station or top hold-down keeps the container steady while the label is wiped on. A gap sensor registers each label; a product sensor times the dispense. Coders such as TTO, TIJ or laser can be mounted to print variable data on the label first.

Process sequence

Space

An infeed wheel or belt separates containers to a set pitch.

Sense

The product sensor triggers the labelling head.

Dispense

The web advances one label over the peel plate at product speed.

Wrap

A belt, brush or roller presses the label around the container.

Discharge

Labelled products leave to the next station or a collection table.

Questions

How accurate is label placement?
Typically within ±1 mm on stable containers. Accuracy depends on container consistency, label quality and line speed.
Can one machine run round and flat bottles?
Front-and-back labellers with a wrap station can handle both; changeover involves guide and belt adjustments.
What is needed for shrink sleeves?
A sleeve applicator cuts and drops the sleeve, and a steam or electric tunnel shrinks it to the container contour.
